Pricing

Negative or Slide Scanning:

Investigation: $50 flat fee.
Scanning up to 10 slides or negatives to assess the quality and level of correction and clean up required. Original and corrected image shared and a final price agreed per negative thereafter for higher volumes.

Per negative:
$2 per negative or slide thereafter for basic automated corrections on clean 35mm negatives or slides
$3-5 per negative or slide thereafter for scratched/damaged negatives requiring higher levels of correction or larger than 35mm format negatives.

Output: 1 low resolution jpeg image file and 1 high resolution jpeg of the final edited photo

Print Scanning / Re-photography:

Minimum charge $25 regardless of number of prints

Per Print:
$3 per print for scanning prints up to 8×10 inches (20x25cm)
$5 per print for larger sizes
This is the basic price for a simple scan with basic tone and colour adjustments. If you require high quality editing, defect removal etc. for a final print-ready file, this will be included in the quote based on an assessment of the original print quality and desired reprint size.

POA for re-photographing to negative film. Price will depend on volume and required film format.

Standard Output: 1 low resolution jpeg image file and 1 high resolution jpeg of the final edited photo.

Photo Books:

Pre-requisites:
The preparation of a photo book PDF assumes all the image and text files required have been prepared in advance and you have a basic idea of the desired layout and book format.
Image files will be ideally sized at 300ppi at the desired printing size. Print quality will suffer with lower resolution files.

Up to 50 images/files:   $200
50 to 100 images/files:   $300
100 to 200 images/files:  $500
The above prices include one review and edit opportunity of the draft PDF file before the final book file is created.
Additional minor edits or format changes: $25
Additional major edits or format changes:  $50

Standard output: Final print-ready PDF file in agreed format uploaded to the printing site of my preferred book printer with your format and quality choices. I may use an alternative book printer at your request provided requirements and instructions are clear.

Final book printing, volumes and costs will be at your discretion. Any subsequent issues with delivery, quality, damage etc. related to the final physical book will be between you and the printing company.

Event Photography:

Basic Hourly Rate: $90
This is the rate for attendance at the event. Travel and accommodation expenses for events outside the Sydney CBD area will be agreed based on the event and location.

Image preparation: $90 per every hour at the event

Example: I attend and photograph a concert for 2 hours. The attendance price is $180 and the image preparation cost is another $180 for a total of $360.

Standard output: as a rule of thumb 40-50 final images will be produced for each hour at an event. This can vary based on the nature of and number of participants in the event.
One low resolution and one high resolution JPG file of each final edited image will be provided.
